Neuro-oncology is a dynamic and rapidly advancing interdisciplinary specialty that focuses on the treatment of both children and adults with primary and metastatic tumors affecting the central and peripheral nervous systems. This field integrates medical, surgical, and radiation therapies and also addresses hereditary conditions such as neurofibromatosis, which are linked to nervous system tumors, as well as the neurological side effects of cancer and its treatments.

A solid understanding of current molecular neuropathology and neuroradiology is crucial for accurate diagnosis and tumor classification. The 5th Annual Update in Neuro-Oncology, a three-day continuing medical education (CME) event, aims to deliver a thorough overview of the latest developments in diagnosing and managing CNS and PNS tumors, neurogenetic disorders, and cancer-related neurological issues in both pediatric and adult populations.

This course is tailored for healthcare professionals and trainees involved in neuro-oncology care, including neurologists, oncologists, radiation oncologists, neurosurgeons, neuroradiologists, and neuropathologists. It is also highly relevant for nurse practitioners, physician assistants, psychologists, pharmacists, nurses, and professionals in the healthcare industry.

1. Define the role of molecular biomarkers in the accurate diagnosis and classification of pediatric and adult CNS and PNS tumors.
2. Determine standard and novel treatment approaches to pediatric and adult CNS and PNS tumors.
3. Describe and manage long-term complications of CNS and PNS tumors and their treatment.
