Overview
Faculty development is an important component of the success of programs in Graduate Medical Education. Faculty members should demonstrate a strong interest in the education of residents, including devoting sufficient time to the educational program to fulfill their supervisory and teaching responsibilities. Topics for the monthly faculty development sessions are selected based on the results of the ACGME annual survey and the identified needs from GME leadership to maintain ACGME compliance.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. To provide structured faculty development programming developed for the purpose of enhancing transference of knowledge, skill, and behavior from the educator to the learner.
  2. To provide faculty with more strategic and effective best practices that assist in fostering their own and their residents' and fellows' wellbeing
  3. To provide faculty with more knowledge and effective best practices on standards that assist with the teaching, evaluating, and providing formative feedback to residents and fellows

TidalHealth Peninsula Regional is accredited by MedChi, The Maryland State Medical Society to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
