The TidalHealth Continuing Medical Education Program is dedicated to advancing the knowledge, skills, and performance of healthcare professionals across our region. Accredited by MedChi, The Maryland State Medical Society, our program adheres to the ACCME Standards for Integrity and Independence in Accredited Continuing Education to ensure unbiased, relevant content.

Our mission is to provide high-quality, locally accessible CME opportunities that support clinical excellence and continuous professional development. We offer a variety of educational formats including Grand Rounds, workshops, case-based conferences, and specialty lectures to address identified practice gaps and meet licensure and board certification requirements.

Through ongoing needs assessments and collaboration with medical staff and leadership, we strive to deliver content that reflects current medical advancements and aligns with TidalHealth’s commitment to exceptional patient care.

CME Mission Statement:

The mission of the TidalHealth Peninsula Regional Continuing Education Program is to provide high-quality, locally accessible educational opportunities to the TidalHealth Peninsula Regional Medical Staff and regional physicians. Our goal is to enhance professional knowledge, improve clinical competency and performance, and support the integration of medical advances into clinical practice. By offering a variety of CME activities, including conferences, workshops, case studies, and lectures, we aim to foster continuous professional development that leads to improved patient care and outcomes.

We are committed to identifying and addressing the educational needs of our medical community through collaboration with various departments and committees within TidalHealth Peninsula Regional. Our program will be responsive to emerging healthcare trends and focus on both current diagnostic and therapeutic modalities. Additionally, we strive to assist healthcare practitioners in fulfilling Maryland's licensure and specialty board requirements. By promoting evidence-based practices and keeping our medical staff informed of the latest standards of care, resources, and innovations, we seek to ensure that our physicians and allied health professionals are equipped to meet the evolving needs of the community, particularly in the Baltimore-Washington area. Through regular evaluation of our educational offerings, we will continue to refine and adapt the program to maximize its impact on clinical competence, confidence, and patient outcomes.
